I heard in the news a few days ago that Peter Jackson has gotten the rights for the Hobbit starting in 2009 coming out 2012. Sadly Frodo isn't in the Hobbit, but maybe Elijah can be in it some how... hmm.. I'm excited none-the-less! Go Frodo! :D :rolleyes: ;) :thumbsup: ...

From Santiago Times: ELIJAH WOOD ARRIVES IN CHILE, SHUNS PRESS (May 16, 2007) U.S. actor Elijah Wood, best known for his role as “Frodo” in Peter Jackson’s “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy, arrived in Chile on Tuesday morning. He then promptly disappeared, in what looked like a highly coordinated mission to preserve the star’s closely-guarded privacy. It is rumored that he may take some time to explore Chile after his work is done at the opening of the Fashion Museum in Vitacura. Wood arrived on a LAN flight from New York at around 12 noon. He left the airport by a side exit and was immediately whisked off into a van that had been waiting for him since 7 a.m. Wood hid beneath his hooded sweater and only emerged to give photographers a quick smile before the van drove him off to his hotel. Unlike Australian pop diva Kylie Minogue’s recent surprise visit to Chile (ST, May 7), Wood’s trip was announced well in advance, which meant hordes of fans had shown up and waited in the smoggy drizzle to greet him. Needless to say, they were less than pleased at Wood’s quick getaway. “What a jerk,” said Milena Henriquez Orellana, who sports an elf tattoo behind her left ear. “He could at least have given us a wave or something. And really, I didn’t think he would be that short in real life.” Wood may have a hard time protecting his privacy in Chile, where tabloid press is quick to jump on any unsuspecting international stars. During her recent visit, Kylie Minogue was snapped several times, and threatened to cut her visit short because of press intrusion (ST, May 9). From here: Casting The Lovely Bones is the tougher call. Of any Jackson film it's the first in which actors will have a good chance of winning an Oscar. Ask anyone who has read the bestselling book by American Alice Sebold who they would like to play each character and everyone has a strong opinion. Central to the story is 14-year-old Susie Salmon, who is raped and murdered and from heaven narrates the story of what happens to her killer, the police investigation, her friends and family. For months there's been buzz on this. If any new actor gets the part she'll become an overnight sensation. Twelve-year-old American actress Dakota Fanning, best known for playing Tom Cruise's daughter in War of the Worlds, may be in the running. American style magazine W last year quoted Fanning's agent as saying she and 15-year-old American Carly Schroeder (Mean Creek) had auditioned for the part. There were also rumours last year that unknown Kiwi actress Carolyn Dando had been cast, which was news to Dando's agent and Jackson. Imagine Casting has Fanning ranked at No 15. At No 1 is Tiger Darrow – a Hollywood name if ever there was one – who has had small parts in several movies, including The Adventures of Shark Boy and Lava Girl last year. Darrow is American and 13, so out-ages Fanning for the part. And, as some people have remarked, Fanning always looks younger than her real age. Sadly, Whale Rider star Keisha Castle-Hughes hasn't made the list – but you just never know. Jackson and Castle-Hughes seemed to get on well at the 2004 Oscars. Other names thrown about include Natalie Portman as the older Lindsey Salmon (Susie's sister) and Mortensen is at No 1 to play Susie's father Jack Salmon. The biggest advantage in casting Mortensen is that he won't have to be shown where Wellington's best fish and chip shops and late-night cafes are located. The team that 'stole my heart', as the Hollywood star once put it following his role in 2005's Green Street, in which he played a student turned East End hooligan, have a must-win match against fellow strugglers Charlton. But Wood, it has to be said, seems strangely unperturbed. 'They've got a game against who? Oh, I see,' he adds, smiling politely and ignoring the football on his hotel room's huge screen in favour of examining Record Doctor's iPod. 'I was just a fan of theirs for the film really. The other night, Thurs 22nd Feb, i was all excited to see the comeback of a graham norton hosted chat show - The Graham Norton Show, so i was already hyped about that, then upon actually tuning in, Elijah was one of his guests...and it was HILARIOUS! I'm so gutted i didn't record it because there was this brilliant moment when elijah literally rolled backwards off the couch because he was laughing...it was so funny and cute...

Elijah was on the Jonathan Ross show a few weeks ago. it was pretty funny stuff comparing him to the animated penguin Mumble :D and looking at his role in Back to the future (tiny takker!!!:) ) and I was really hyped when they showed the toy Frodo....as I have it in my collection!!!
They Basically talked about Happy Feet and The Lord of the rings. but it was a good show!
